       APPIAN WAY BIKE TOUR

The Appian Way, Queen of roads, was inaugurated on 312BC
by Appius Claudius, and immediately became
the first major
road to the south of Italy.

Discover a path spotted of monuments and monumental
tombs
, a perfectly preserved still picture of history that gives us
a  chance to live that time again, imagining the traffic of carriages
and horses.

The Appian Way Bike Tour will give you the unique
opportunity to combine history, archeology, landscapes
and nature.

A tour through the first few miles of the road immersed in a
timeless atmosphere where modernity gives way to history,
and the noise of car engines fades in favor of tires' friction
on the ancient roman paving.

A silence broken only by the whispers of the many dead, whose
tombs along the Via ask to be remembered by posterity.

to flaunt its value in a Via that was the most eloquent
    expression of Rome's power.
  • San Sebastian Gate, entrance to the city and best-
preserved section of the Aurelian Walls.
  • Catacombs of San Callisto, the cradle of Christianity and
    tomb of the early Popes.
